Abiding by faith Assembly was started in 1976, Michael Greene has been the Pastor since its beginning.

   Mike was called by God into the ministry in 1973 after being born again and filled with the Holy Spirit.

   He attended a Bible school in Indiana until 1977 receiving his theological training from teachers who were associated with Grace Seminary.

   Mike traveled through out Ohio on a

weekly basis teaching God’s word in Columbus, Coshocton, Waverly, and his home church in Findlay.

   He has been married 50 years with 7 children and 27 grandchildren many of them attend the church on Lester Ave.

  Mike teaches from God’s word for about an hour on various biblical subjects. We have no formal membership, do not take up a collection but an offering box is at the back for people to thank God on a voluntary basis.

Requirements For Fellowship

  1. Saving faith in Jesus Christ and Confession of it. Jn 3:16, Acts 16:31, Rom 10:10

  2. Repentance from sin Acts 2:38 turning away from a life of sin and self-interest. 2 Cor 5:17

  3. Scriptural water baptism Acts 2:38, 10:48, 19:5, Col 3 :17

  4. Baptism in the Holy Spirit Acts 2:1-4, 10:44,19:1-6 etc. Acts 2:38-39

  5. Regular participation in the Churches worship, Bible study and ordinances Heb 10:25, 2 Tim 2:15, 1 Cor 11, John 13

  6.  Support of the local assembly by prayers and offerings Eph 6:18, Gal 6:6, 1Cor 9:1-f, 2Cor 9:6-7

  7. Willingness to testify to the gospel message Acts 8:3-4, Mt 5:13-16,10:27,32-33 28:19- 20, Mk 16:15-20, Jude 3.

  8. Loving submission to the God appointed ministry which has been given the responsibility of leadership. Eph 4:11-15, Heb 13:7,17,24, Acts 20:28

  9.  Living a life consistent with the Christian faith and message of the New Testament. Mt 5-7, 1Pt 1:16, Eph 4:11-14 Acts 20:28

  10.  Recognition that a New Testament assembly is a theocracy under Christ its head, not a democracy of the people; it is a living organism, not an organization and institution; acceptance of one’s responsibilities to the local assembly and concurrence in its scriptural discipline 1Cor 5, Rom 16:17, 2Thes 3:6, Tit 3:10-11 Mt 18:15-17. (fornication, strife, laziness, not paying bills, false doctrines)

  11. Belief in unity and oneness of mind concerning the Word of God and its relation to all matters concerning the Christian life, as well as the refusal to engage in any criticism of the local assembly and its membership or ministry 1Cor 1:10; 10:1-12; Phil 2:1-4, Tit 3:1-2, 10-11 Prov. 6:16-19; Rom 16:17; James 3
